One of the first things I had planned to do was a complete flipper rebuild. The flippers were not as bad as the ones on my Nugent, but I felt it was worth giving them a rebuild anyway given the state of other assemblies on the machine.

First up for this update is the lock down bar. The condition of the bar itself is OK. It’s a little worn and has a few scratches, but is solid and doesn’t need replacing. The issue it does has however is it’s loose on the left side and does not lock down properly. I can lift the left side up with my hand.
The pop cap bumpers on my Nugent have been there for a long time. In the middle, right above where the light sits, each cap has experienced some melting. The colours have also started to fade over the years. Replacing them was only going to cost $20, so I decided to do it.
